Space strategy game, built by one person

Astra Genesis

A space strategy game where every decision counts, in development

A temperate planet, a colony to keep standing, and the time to do it properly. Production keeps running while you are offline, with no penalty for not being connected around the clock.

The game is not playable here yet. The wishlist tells you the moment a version is.

Three things, done properly

Astra Genesis does not try to be every space game at once. It stands on three pillars, and everything else serves those three.

The factory graph: the real path from ore to ship module, with throughput and priorities.

First pillar

Build and produce

The interesting decisions come from production chains, not from an interface that makes you click thirty times. Every resource has a reason to exist, every factory has a place in a chain, and optimising the flow is the real heart of the game. Production carries on without you: everything is exactly where you left it, ready for the next decision.

Real throughput shown factory by factory, bottlenecks flagged before they become blocking, no offline resource loss.

The sector map. It is explored a little at a time, and it does not get carved into borders.

Second pillar

Explore and unlock

Expeditions that leave, take their time, and come back with something you had not planned for. Research unlocks alternative recipes that genuinely change your factory plan, not just a number going up.

Eight research branches, sixty-four technologies, and alternative recipes that reorganise an entire chain.

Incursions announced twenty-four hours ahead, and the defensive posture you pick in response.

Third pillar

Fight, without the hardcore

PvP exists, but it never turns your colony into a permanent target. Attacks can never land between 10pm and 8am, a beaten fleet retreats instead of being wiped out, and a colony that was just attacked gets a break before the next one.

6-hour immunity after an attack, alliance notified in real time, looting limited to storage surplus.

Who is making this

One developer, one machine, a lot of evenings

My name is Gaetan; online I go by Reewen. By day I repair computers; in the evening I write Astra Genesis. There is no team behind this, no studio, no publisher. It is a project I would rather do properly than quickly, and working alone is exactly what lets me say no to mechanics that pressure the player.

Captures taken in the current build, not mock-ups. They age fast, which is the point.

An email when something real happens: a major build, a date, a test opening. Never more than one a month, and no third party ever sees your address.
