About
One game, one developer, and a reason for starting.
Gaetan, also known as Reewen
I'm a PC repair technician with a passion for development and video games. My love of Satisfactory and OGame pushed me to create this kind of game.
Revo Games is the name under which I develop and publish my games, independently. The code, the design, the balancing and this site are all done by the same person, outside working hours.
Why this game
Because a management game does not have to be a chore to be demanding. The difficulty can come from choosing between two production chains, not from an alarm clock.
Because developing alone is a constraint that protects. Nobody asks me for retention figures, and I can say no to mechanics that pressure the player.
Because I want this game to still exist in ten years. The code is written to be re-read, every version is documented, and nothing is deleted from the history.
What fed into me
Four games Astra Genesis owes something to, in agreement or in reaction.
Satisfactory
The physical pleasure of a production chain running well, and an art direction that is warm rather than cold and metallic.
Grepolis
The readability of tier-based progression, where you always know the next objective without opening a wiki.
Ikariam
The idea that a colony is a place you inhabit, with residents and a mood, not a spreadsheet with pictures.
OGame
The technology tree and the sheer scale. And, in the negative, everything that made me quit: the overnight raids and the obligation to be online.
