Frequently asked questions
The questions that come up most often, and their answers.
When does Astra Genesis come out?
Early Access opens on 5 March 2027 on Steam, for six months; version 1.0 will follow in September 2027. If a date moves, this site, the newsletter and the Discord will say so first.
Can I play it right now?
The Steam Playtest opens on 20 November 2026: request access from the game's Steam page; places open in waves. A demo will follow for Steam Next Fest, from 22 February to 1 March 2027.
Which platforms?
On Windows PC, through Steam. Your account can also be played in a browser, on a computer or on a phone. The Platforms page shows which stores are open.
Will the game come to console?
It is not planned for now.
How much will it cost?
€11.99 during Early Access, then €14.99 at version 1.0; Steam adjusts the price for each country. No pay to win: nothing for sale gives an advantage in play.
Is it a multiplayer game?
Yes, with no obligation. Everything can be played alone; alliances, the Player exchange, the leaderboard and raids between players are choices. PvP is framed: a curfew from 10 pm to 8 am, never any destruction, looting limited to the surplus. A peaceful mode, with no PvP at all, is planned during Early Access.
Do I need to be online all the time?
No. Production, construction and research carry on while you are away and are calculated when you return, with no loss. Vacation mode protects the colony when you leave for longer.
Which languages?
The game is in French and English. More languages will arrive during Early Access. This site, for its part, is already available in eleven languages.
Who makes Astra Genesis?
A single person: Gaetan, aka Reewen, an independent developer who publishes under the name Revo Games. No publisher, no investor.
Can the game be modded?
Not yet, and not for a long while. The game data is already separate from the engine, which makes mods conceivable later, but it is not an open project.
Is my data sold on?
No. This site uses no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no tracking cookie. Visits are counted with Umami, with no cookie and no identifier. Newsletter addresses stay with me and are used only to send it. The details are on the legal page.
How can I help?
Add the game to your Steam wishlist, and come to the Discord to say what you like or what you miss. Precise feedback helps me more than one more share.
