  • 4,721 strings later, Astra Genesis speaks English

v0.89.0 closes the translation work: the whole game is now in English, from the screens to the server's messages. You pick your language on the sign-in screen or in Settings, and it follows your account. Before shipping, we went through the entire game in English, and two places were still in French. They are fixed, and a check keeps them from coming back.

  • We played our own tutorial, and we got stuck

v0.88.0 closes the tutorial work, which walks a new player from their first hire to their first defenses. Before shipping it, we played it from start to finish, and we got stuck more than once. The steps now come in a new order and the guide finally points at a place you can see. None of it is mandatory.

  • Alliances are here, and nothing forces you into one

v0.87.0 closes the alliance work: found one or join one, keep it going with a treasury of voluntary donations, announcements, a banner and a frame. No in-game bonus: playing solo costs you nothing.

  • A profile of your own, and vacations with no nasty surprise

v0.86.0 completes the Profile & settings screen: a real governor profile, settings that follow you from one device to the next, a vacation mode that protects your colonies, and a showcase of appearance items.

  • Three weeks of building: from v0.61 to v0.85

The notes on this site stopped at v0.60.3. Meanwhile the game took close to forty updates: colonies that truly exist, expeditions that take their time, a rebuilt Market and a move to a new server.

  • Reworking the Planet view: from dashboard to colony

The Planet view looked like a form to fill in. The v0.60.0 → v0.60.3 rework turns it into a colony you actually want to look at, without touching a single game rule.

  • Why production never stops when you close the game

A management game that punishes absence is not difficult, it is just demanding about your schedule. Here is how Astra Genesis works out what happened while you were away.

  • v0.89.2.2수정

A lighter game, in play too

The game is lighter on your computer

Research screen: tech tiers and Directorate tiers told apart

    • In English, the Directorate tier a technology needs now reads “Directorate tier” and no longer looks like the technology’s own tier.
    • The technology details badge reads “Tier 1” instead of “Level tier 1”.
  • v0.89.0신규

The game is fully translated into English

    • The English translation is complete: screens, help, game content and server messages.
    • The last texts still in French, the defense postures in the Hangar and the combat simulator, are now translated.

    • Changing the language in game copes better with an unstable connection. Nothing changes in your game.
  • v0.88.4신규

    • You can play in English: pick the language on the sign-in screen or in the Settings.
    • The game starts straight in your account’s language, or in your browser’s language in guest mode.
    • In game, changing the language reloads after you confirm. Hovering a tier on the timeline shows its full name.
  • v0.88.3인터페이스

    Clearer incursion countdown

    • The incursion countdown uses a short format (T-25h18m) and is no longer cut off on small screens.
    • Technology effects now agree in number: +1 workforce slot, +2 workforce slots.
    • A few resource and tier descriptions were proofread.
  • v0.88.2인터페이스

    • The control center title and the sector code on expedition cards are no longer cut off on small screens.
    • The tooltip of a locked building category shows again the name of the phase that opens it.
  • v0.88.1기술

    Performance and interface improvements

    • The game loads a little faster. Nothing changes in your game.
  • v0.88.0신규

Tutorial: a smoother path, from your first hire to your defenses

    • The tutorial follows a new order: you learn to sell at the NPC Counter right after your two factories, before hiring a technician, and you scan a system before building your defenses. The “second power source” step becomes “Upgrade your Champ solaire”.
    • The guide now brings the place to act into view, helps you in the Workforce window (who to hire, when to close it) and tells you when a build or a probe is already under way. The “Phase complete” card closes with a click.
    • A greyed-out Hire button says why, the candidate list fills up right after your first hire, and the Compass explains the Scrip deficit warning of the early game. A tutorial in progress picks up where your colony stands; if it is finished or skipped, nothing changes for you.
  • v0.87.1.1수정

Tutorial: one more step before the factories

    • The first phase of the tutorial now ends with a fifth step: assigning a miner to the mine and the extractor. With nobody on site, these two buildings were built but produced nothing.
    • The bubble points to the Assign button on each card, then to the person to pick.
    • A game that is already past the first phase is not affected and does not go back.
  • v0.87.1신규

A tutorial that stays with you to the end

    • The tutorial now covers the whole game loop, in eight phases: first buildings, factories, power and staff, research, trade, expedition, defense, then your first scan of a system.
    • A new panel, the Compass, shows the current objective and why it matters. A bubble sits where you need to act, and every finished phase is celebrated. No rush: there is no timer, and “Skip the tutorial” stays available at all times.
    • If you had already finished or skipped the tutorial, nothing changes for you. If it was in progress, it picks up where your colony stands and never asks again for what is already done. Fix: closing a tier celebration with the Escape key no longer stops the next ones from showing.
  • v0.87.0.2인터페이스

Confirmations in the game's own style

    • Terminating a contract, dismissing a worker, demolishing a building, cancelling a construction or a production: the question now appears in a game window instead of a browser pop-up.
    • That window tells you what you lose before you confirm: the Scrip cost of a dismissal, the share refunded by a cancellation.
    • At the Counter, a large sale or purchase shows its total before you confirm it.
  • v0.87.0.1수정

    Two display fixes

    • After a name change, the top of the screen kept showing the old one until the next sign-in. It now updates the moment the game loads.
    • On the Alliance screen, the banners and frames on offer now fill the full width of their panel on large screens, instead of leaving a gap on the right.
  • v0.87.0신규

    Alliances: everything is in place

    • Alliances are complete. You can found one or join one, by application or by invitation, hold a role in it (leader, officer or member), follow its activity and leave it freely.
    • Every alliance has a treasury, filled by the voluntary gifts of its members. It pays for announcements, a change of name or tag, and the banner and frame the alliance wears.
    • Nothing is mandatory: the whole game stays playable solo, and an alliance gives no gameplay bonus. This version adds nothing new: it marks the end of this work.
  • v0.86.6신규

    Alliances: banners and emblem frames

    • An alliance can now wear a banner, shown behind its name, and a frame around its emblem. Four banners and four frames are offered in a new panel of the Alliance screen's overview, which every member can browse.
    • They are paid for with the Scrip of the alliance treasury: 1,500 Scrip for a banner, 1,000 for a frame. The leader buys and chooses what the alliance wears; changing the banner or the frame, or removing them, costs nothing. A purchase is not refunded.
    • A look, nothing more: a banner or a frame gives no gameplay bonus. They also show on the alliance card and in the list of recruiting alliances.
  • v0.86.5신규

    Alliances: treasury, announcements and renaming

    • Every alliance now has a treasury in Scrip, in a new tab of the Alliance screen. Any member can give Scrip from their wallet. A gift is voluntary and final: it cannot be taken back and earns nothing. The treasury produces nothing, and an alliance still gives no gameplay bonus.
    • The treasury pays for two services. The leader and the officers can publish an announcement (100 Scrip, one per 24 hours): every member reads it at the top of the overview. The leader can change the name (500 Scrip) or the tag (1,000 Scrip) of the alliance.
    • The Treasury tab shows the balance and the last 200 movements: who gave, what was spent, and on which day. If an alliance is disbanded, the Scrip in its treasury is lost.
  • v0.86.4신규

Alliances: activity, recruitment and member cards

    • The Alliance screen now shows your alliance's activity: arrivals, departures, roles, leadership handed over, applications opened or closed. The ten latest lines appear in the overview, and "View all" opens everything the alliance keeps (up to 200 lines).
    • Without an alliance, a list shows the alliances that have opened applications, with an "Apply" button. In an alliance, click a member's name to open their card: public profile, role, member number and arrival date. A private profile shows only the name, even to allies.
    • The leader can change the alliance's motto and emblem; the name and tag stay as they are. An alliance still gives no in-game bonus.
  • v0.86.3.1인터페이스

A backdrop for Alliance, Market and Profile

    • The Alliance, Market and Profile screens now each have their own backdrop.
  • v0.86.3신규

    Alliances: join, recruit, get organised

    • An alliance now holds up to 20 members. To join one, look up its tag from the Alliance screen and apply if it has opened applications, or accept an invitation. You can leave whenever you want.
    • The leader opens or closes applications, appoints officers, hands over leadership and can remove a member. Leader and officers answer applications and invite a player from their public profile, if they said they are open to alliances.
    • The member list shows who is online, was here today, this week, or is on vacation. The leaderboard shows each player's alliance tag, and the apostrophe is accepted in an alliance name. An alliance still gives no game bonus.
  • v0.86.2신규

Found your alliance: a name, a tag, an emblem

    • New Alliance screen, between Map and Market. You can found an alliance, for free: a name, a tag of 2 to 5 characters, an emblem made from 12 icons and 5 colours, and a motto if you like.
    • For now, an alliance only holds its founder, and it changes nothing in your game: no resources, no production, no protection. You can disband it whenever you want.
    • The server-move message on the sign-in screen has been removed. So has the Alliances tab of the leaderboard, which had stayed empty.
  • v0.86.1인터페이스

    The server-move message is gone

    • The “New game server” window, shown when entering the game since the server move in late September, has been removed: it had served its purpose.
  • v0.86.0신규

A profile of your own, settings your way, vacations without worry

    • The Profile & settings screen is complete. Profile side: your introduction, your real game numbers, the choice to show your profile to other players or not, and a flag to say you are open to alliance offers. Settings side: everything is sorted by category and saved to your account, so it follows you from one device to the next.
    • Vacation mode protects your colonies while you are away: no new incursion, no raid from another player, and everything runs at half speed, production and spending alike. Your game becomes read-only for at least 48 hours.
    • The Profile tab also shows the appearance items (portrait frame, title, banner, profile background) with their price in Scrip, the currency earned by playing. It is a showcase: nothing is for sale, and nothing can be bought there.
  • v0.85.6인터페이스

    Profile: the appearance showcase

    • The Profile tab now shows the interface theme, free for everyone, and four appearance slots: portrait frame, title, banner and profile background.
    • Each slot shows a base price in Scrip, the currency earned by playing. Nothing is for sale: the showcase is for looking only, and these prices may still change.
  • v0.85.5신규

Vacation: your colonies will wait for you

    • Away for a few days? Vacation mode protects your colonies: no new incursion, and no other player can launch a raid on you. In exchange, everything runs at half speed: production, factory consumption, wages and Trading Post contracts.
    • While you are on vacation, your game is read-only: whatever is already under way finishes, but nothing new can be started. A vacation lasts at least 48 hours, and when you come back every threat starts over on a fresh delay.
    • Vacation mode is in Profile & settings, Settings tab, Gameplay category. Whatever was already announced or already launched against you when you left still arrives.
  • v0.85.4신규

    Your governor profile

    • The Profile & settings screen gets a Profile tab: a few words about yourself, your numbers (tier, colonies, completed expeditions, unlocked research, account age) and the choice to show your profile to other players or keep it private.
    • In the leaderboard, click a player to open their profile, if they left it public.
    • You can also flag that you are open to alliance offers. Alliances are not in the game yet: for now, this choice shows on your profile and does nothing else.
  • v0.85.3신규

Settings, tidied up and following you

    • The Profile screen becomes "Profile & settings": your settings are grouped by category, each with an explanation of what it changes.
    • New: notification sound volume, on-screen message duration, and a high contrast option that finally does something.
    • With an account, your settings follow you from one device to the next. Vacation mode leaves the screen while it is being built for real.
  • v0.85.2인터페이스

The queue strip no longer hides anything

    • The strip showing running queues (construction, research, expedition) no longer covers the bottom of the panels.
    • It is hidden on the Planet view, which already shows those queues, and lays its queues side by side elsewhere.
    • A few in-game messages are worded more simply.
  • v0.85.1인터페이스

An update history that is easier to read

    • In the game, older versions are now grouped by tens, each with a short summary of what it brought.
    • The "Next priority" line is gone from every version.
    • Nothing changes in your save.
  • v0.61 - v0.85신규

Catching up: from v0.61 to v0.85

    • v0.61 to v0.69: the Buildings and Factories screens are rebuilt around your colony's landscape. Quests and Expeditions become two screens, and an expedition now takes its real time: the flight, then 1 to 8 hours on site.
    • v0.70 to v0.79: each colony finally has its own stock, buildings and workers. Scrip becomes a wallet shared by all your colonies, the Market gets a new look, and a Control Centre gathers threats, defence and messages.
    • v0.80 to v0.85: the game now runs on our own server, and your save was carried over as it was. You can change your password from the Profile, and raid alerts arrive in under a minute.
  • v0.60.3인터페이스

Planet view: a real honeycomb and a fluid side column

    • The hex grid is now a real, regular 24-cell mesh instead of a random scatter.
    • The right-hand column now adapts to window width instead of a fixed size.
    • Groundwork laid for future locked slots, though no unlock rule exists yet.
  • v0.60.2인터페이스

Planet view: radial spotlight and collapsible panels

    • The colony render now gets a radial spotlight instead of a flat, uniform overlay.
    • A built structure now fills its entire hexagon, instead of a small floating icon.
    • Constructions, Research and Expeditions collapse with one click, remembered per player.
  • v0.60.1인터페이스

Planet view: per-resource HUD, the red banner is gone

    • Every HUD resource now shows its rate, not just its total.
    • The permanent alert banner is gone: economic warnings moved into the Advisor.
    • The clock shows the player's real date and time, the "Day N" counter is removed.
  • v0.60.0인터페이스

Planet view: the "immersive colony" rework

    • The colony render becomes the screen's full-bleed backdrop, with floating panels on top.
    • A real colony selector replaces static text, plus new weather and altitude chips.
    • No game rule changes: costs, production and slots stay exactly the same.
  • v0.53.0인터페이스

    The Hangar completely redesigned

    • The Fleet becomes a grid of ship cards: banner by type, rarity badge with a glow, six gene hexagons in grade colours, power, and status (docked / on mission / garrison).
    • Defense fits into three clear cards (power breakdown, +10/+100 unit queues, garrison), and Fusion shows an animated beam with the exact per-gene probability breakdown.
    • A side panel recaps the whole fleet: total power, rarity breakdown, and the mission in progress.
  • v0.52.2밸런스

Science finally has its three sources

    • Expeditions now return Data on most "land" rolls, not only Plate.
    • Laboratory and Xenolab genuinely produce Science when staffed.
    • The expedition report shows the Data line with no special-cased code.
  • v0.52.0인터페이스

    The Research screen rebuilt

    • Sticky queue panel, eight colour-coded branches, a readable vertical tree.
    • The tier X doctrine now asks for a double confirmation.
    • No more opening a wiki to find out what a technology actually changes.
  • v0.50.0신규

    Quests and Project Direction merged

    • One screen for the campaign and the expedition log.
    • The old Direction screen leaves the navigation, its links redirect.
    • A finished signal keeps its report visible until the next launch.
