Alliances are here, and nothing forces you into one
v0.87.0 closes the alliance work: found one or join one, keep it going with a treasury of voluntary donations, announcements, a banner and a frame. No in-game bonus: playing solo costs you nothing.

In the last post, we wrote that alliances did not exist in the game. That is no longer true: five updates built them, piece by piece, and v0.87.0 closes the work. It adds nothing new: it simply says that everything is in place.
In short: you can found an alliance or join one. Its members can donate Scrip to it, which pays for posting an announcement, for changing its name or its tag, and for giving it a banner and a frame. An alliance brings no in-game bonus: no resources, no production, no protection. The whole game can be played solo, and nothing forces you to be part of one.
Found or join
Founding an alliance is free. It needs a name, a tag of a few letters, an emblem, an icon and a colour picked from the game's list, and a motto if you want one. It holds up to twenty members.
Joining an alliance takes both sides: your application accepted by the alliance, or its invitation accepted by you. An alliance can only invite a player who has declared themselves open to offers on their public profile. And you leave whenever you want.
Inside, three roles: the leader, the officers and the members. The member list says who has played recently, in broad strokes: online, today, this week. Never an exact time. An activity feed keeps the alliance's latest news: arrivals, departures, role changes.
A treasury of donations

Every alliance has a treasury in Scrip, the currency earned in game. It lives on the voluntary donations of its members only. Let us be clear: a donation cannot be taken back, not by leaving the alliance, not if it is disbanded, and it earns nothing for the one who gives. The treasury produces nothing and gives nothing back to anyone.
It pays for three things. Posting an announcement, a short message read by all members, which stays displayed until the next announcement. Changing the name or the tag of the alliance. And buying its cosmetics. A ledger, which only members can see, keeps track of every movement.
A banner and a frame

The leader can give the alliance a banner and a frame for its emblem, paid for by the treasury. The catalogue holds four of each. What the alliance wears shows wherever the alliance is displayed.
It is appearance, and nothing more: no effect on the game. The prices shown may still change.
Nothing is required
An alliance brings no in-game bonus. That is a choice, not an oversight: a solo player must lose nothing by staying solo. An absence costs nothing either, neither to the member nor to the alliance.
Two notes. An alliance requires an online account: in guest mode, nothing is sent online. And the alliance in the screenshots, Les Veilleurs de Prima, was founded for the occasion on a test account, then disbanded.
